Using At Home Remedies For Quick Allergy Relief

Article by Tommy Groman

Your home is a paradise, the best place you can be. It is your sanctuary, your place of refuge. But at times, it can also get you down, especially when you are allergic to it. Common allergens like dust, pollen, pet dander and molds can be right inside your home. And since it is not possible for you to keep out of the house, then you should be aware of what you have to do to protect yourself. Your problems with allergies can be managed using an approach consisting of two aspects – applying remedy to the symptoms and identifying the root of the allergic reaction so you can prevent your exposure to it. To determine the main cause of the allergy, you have to take away all the potential allergens and check if your reactions go and then expose yourself to each suspect and see if the reaction comes back. Another means of alleviating the suffering of allergic people is to drink a 1 to 2 cups of green tea. Green tea has natural antihistamine that offers fast allergy relief. You can also make use of ginger which has natural antihistamine and decongestant properties. Fresh pieces of ginger can be incorporated in stir fry recipes or can be combined in your tea drink. Similarly, lime can be a potent treatment to allergy. This can be done by squeezing half a lime in a glass of lukewarm water, then sweetening the drink with honey. You can take it first thing in the morning everyday, for several months. But then again, this is not recommended for people with allergy to citrus fruits. Vegetable juices like 500 ml of carrot juice can also help alleviate allergic symptoms.
