For the past year, I have been experiencing nasal congestion and mucus problems. I always wake up with a stuffy nose. My throat is extremely sore, almost a burning sensation and I have to clear it every 5 minutes. This mucus also causes bad breath.
When it first started, I went to a walk-in clinic. They told me I had a sinus infection, prescribed me some Nasonex and sent me on my way. While the Nasonex alleviated the symptoms a little, the relief was on temporary. All the symptoms came back within 6 weeks. I went back to the clinic and they gave me more Nasonex, some Rhynaris and referred me to a ENT. The ENT doctor told me it might be allergies so he sent me to get an allergy test and told me to come back. I got the allergy tests (they tested me for 27 things but not food allergies) and it turns out I am not allergic to anything. The allergist said I had chronic rhinitis and prescribed me with another type of nasal spray and some Claritin Extra.
I now have to go back to the ENT.
