Has anyone herd of this new allergy relief?

Question by Lena: Has anyone herd of this new allergy relief?
Has anyone heard of a nose filter device that you put in your nose for allergy relief. I live in Canada and would like to buy one to try. I thought of this idea and looked on the web to see if it was invented yet, and found one website advertising for nasal nets or something. Its a small net that you put in your nose to filter out allergens. The place where they were selling them was not in Canada though. Here is the website where i found the nose nets.

Question by renee_rabbit_cough: does anyone know anything about allergiclear, all natural allergy relief. Or anything about supplements in it?
AllergiClear contains the following natural ingredients:

Quercitin is a well known flavonoid, usually found mostly in onions and apples and is considered to be a ‘building block’ for other flavonoids. Flavonoids are important and powerful anti-oxidants found in fruits, vegetables and herbs and can also reduce inflammation, boost immunity, strengthen blood vessels and improve circulation. Quercitin is known for its ability to block the release of histamine, thereby preventing allergy symptoms like swollen nasal passages, congestion, sneezing, watery eyes and itchiness in eyes and nose. Other benefits include reduced risk of heart disease, stroke and cataracts, anticancer properties and the ability to promote stable blood sugar levels.

Question by ann.maxter: Has Anyone Found A Good Air-Purifier For Pet Allergens?
After having dogs for 25yrs, I have just recently developed SEVERE allergies to pets. Especially in the winter, when the windows are closed, it feels like I have two wine corks up my nose and I have to breathe through my mouth…the ENTIRE winter season! I am looking for a large air-purifier to keep next to their dog beds, but something that won’t blow air on them.

Has anyone with severe pet allergies found a good air-purifier that has actually given them noticeable relief in their house? Not just with the smell of the dogs, but something that has worked well enough to cut down on sneezing and stuffy nose?

Question by Darksuns: Has anyone tried an elemental diet for relief from severe food allergies? Was it worth it?
My doc has suggested an “elemental” diet for me to get relief from a disorder that is caused by severe food allergies. This stuff is the liquid “food” that they tube feed people in a coma. It just has what you need to survive in it, nothing else. It’s expensive and, obviously, extremely limiting. However, I’ll do pretty much anything to get relief. Anyone have experience with this stuff?

Does anyone have a Cairn with allergies?

My 1 1/2 year old Cairn is constantly scratching herself, licking & biting at her legs. At one point she had some spots that were almost bald.

She’s been on antibiotics & prednisone twice & that seems like the only time she has any relief. The vet says she can have benedryl, but I don’t want to overdo it – I want to figure out what’s wrong. I don’t think it’s seasonal, because this has been ongoing through the winter until now. The vet recommended trying different foods & so far she’s scratched her way through sensitive skin & venison varieties.

We also have to get her anal glands emptied almost once a month.
