I have hereditary food and inhalant allergies and I get sinus headaches very frequently…anyone else get them?

what do you use as pain relief? Its like a sharp apain in my forhead and behind my eyes…and advil doesnt work!!!
whats a ‘face steamer?’ never heard of that…like a mini sauna for the face?!

Take medication meant for sinus pain and pressure. I also apply ice packs. Sometimes when they are really bad I use my face steamer. It loosens everything up.
I get headaches all the time. Sinus headaches are so hard to get rid of. I use the following methods:
I press my fingers alongside my nose for 30 seconds and then remove them for 30 seconds. I repeat the whole thing 3 or 4 times. Sometimes I hear a popping sound in my head and my nose starts to run. I think it works because I stop the blood flow to the sinus area and then allow it to rush back when I remove my fingers. This kind of heats the area and opens the sinuses and lets them drain.
I take Tylenol Sinus.
I find that a hot bath or shower sometimes helps and if I can’t do that, then a pot of boiling water makes a good steamer. Put your head over the pot being careful not to burn yourself by getting too close, and inhale through your nose if you can. If you can’t, just let the steam heat your face. But be careful not to burn yourself with the steam.
Google the word, “turbinates” and read about what might be causing your headaches.
I always say that I wouldn’t know that I was alive if I didn’t have a headache. Sad but true.
Sinus headaches are difficult to treat. You need to see a doctor about them.
