how do i stop my eyes from itching, allergy relief?!?

My eyes have been itching like crazy the past couple day, i put clear eyes itchy eye relief drops in and it seems to make it bearable but doesn’t provide enough relief. My throat has also been hurting and my nose is snuffly. I take zirtec for allergies but lately it hasn’t been working. What should i do? I can’t take benadryll on a regular basis because it makes me too sleepy.

Patanol or Pataday are currently the gold standard recommended by opthalmologists for seasonal allergies. Other options include allergic desensitization with injections into your skin on a weekly or monthly basis at an allergist’s office, or avoiding your allergen triggers (pollen, dust, mold, dander, etc.).
Go to the pharmacy and ask for antihistamine eye drops. They work really well. I would couple that with a 24 hour allergy medication, such as Zyrtec to ensure other tissues don’t become inflamed.
That assumes that your issues is allergies. You should also be drinking 2L of water per day. Check your local particulate and low-level ozone levels, as these can also be non-allergy causes of inflammation and itchy eyes.
Acupuncture. No medicine works for me. Not claretin, zyrtec, benydril, clarinex, allegra or any pills, so I resorted to this. It actually works. I had one session couple of weeks ago and I’m allergy free. Find a reputable acupuncturist in your area..

Also it is only temporary.. Your allergies may come back like 2 or 3 months later but it’s worth the relief and you can always go back for another session.
They do have a non drowsy benedryl. But anyhow, do not use clear eyes drops. They make the blood vessels in the eyes dilate and can cause problems.
I have very bad allergies. And =my eyes will burn and itch. So this is what I do. I rinse my eyes with two drops of Sterile Lubricant eyes drops. (Walmart brand Artificial Tears) Systane is good to but expensive. Then I put one drop of antihistamine eye drops zaditor. You can get the walmart brand just make sure it has ketotifen in it. These eyes drops are made for allergies to block the antihistamines. Its a small bottle and it may seem a little costly but they go a long way and they are worth the money!
