Air Purifiers

Mold – the microscopic fungi that invades your home to expose you and your family to severe health risks. Although mold comprises the “blue” of bleu cheese, it is neither tasty nor inviting when it’s invading your home. Now more than ever, allergy and asthma sufferers (and even those who aren’t allergic to mold) are looking for a solution to their mold troubles.
Are air purifiers the answer to mold problems?

Inside the home, molds like Alternaria, Aspergillus Chaetomium, Cladosporium, Fusarium, Mucor, Penicillium and Stachybotrys grow frequently in places that are warm, damp, and dark. However, mold itself does not trigger allergic or asthmatic reactions. Instead, the microscopic mold spores (seeds) floating through the air cause coughing, wheezing, stuffy and runny noses in those who are allergic. These awful mold spores make indoor and outdoor air quality unbearable for some. As tiny mold spores float in the air and evade the protective mechanisms of your respiratory system, you’ll find comfort in the fact that there are effective ways to reduce and eliminate mold in your home.

Reasons For Purchasing Air Purifiers

A good air purifier helps in purifying the contaminated air by freeing the air from pollutants. People living in a congested home and locality usually live in contaminated air. Environmental studies have revealed that the air inside the house is dirtier than the air outside. Air purifiers are extremely beneficial for people suffering from allergies and asthma. Dust, pollen, pet dander and molds are some of the allergy inducing particles. A home air purifier not only effectively removes these harmful particles, but also provides protection against hazardous smoke particles and airborne gases. The air purifiers convert the dirty and contaminated air into clean air and provide protection against second hand smoke.

Air purifiers alleviate asthma, and some completely removes the allergens causing asthma by providing superior quality air. By reducing the dust floating in the air, filtering second hand smoke, and purifying the air of chemical pollutants, car exhaust fumes or other contaminants, air purifiers improves the living condition of asthma sufferers. Even little children, especially newborn babies and old people, suffer respiratory disorders due to the bad condition of the air we breathe. Bacteria, viruses and other types of microorganisms cause pneumonia and tuberculosis, and sometimes certain diseases that may lead to death if not treated properly.

I’m looking to help my seasonal allergies with an air purifier. I’m looking for the best and most silent air purifier for the job!

Hi. We just got a puppy and my allergies are really bad. We also have a cat and it’s more than I can handle. Which air purifier do you recommend for smells/ dander/ dust and everything else? We have a 2300 square foot house but I’m mostly concerned w/ our bedrooms. Should I buy one big unit to cover the entire area or should I buy three smaller units to put in our bedrooms?

Best Air Purifiers For Allergies

When you are considering buying an air purifier, there are several different features that you need to look for.  These features include, its ability to keep the air clean, how many and what type of particles it removes from the air and finally, whether or not it is designed to help people with allergies.

Air purifiers such as the Ionic Breeze are often touted as being able to do all the work of a normal air purifier and more.  However, the Ionic Breeze has nothing on the IQAir HealthPro Plus.  The IQAir HealthPro Plus is the most advance air purifier on the market.  It has four different filters that catch over 90% of the nasty particulates that can cause allergies.  This model is also great for people who are suffering from Asthma, as it catches the molecular irritants that bother so many asthmatics.

Why choose an Air Purifier

There are many reasons why you should opt for installing an air purifier or an air neutraliser at your property. They are usually marketed as an allergy solution for many but also have many other benefits too. These units can either be single stand alone units or they can even be customised to be built into the décor and furnishing of the home or commercial property.

Here are some of the reasons why you should choose an Air Purifier:

What is the best ionic air purifier for allergies?

I would like a filter that can be cleaned rather than be replaced. Also, does anyone know any good window screens that filter out pollen?

And if I bathed my cat once a month, take medication, and got an air purifier, would my allergies go away? (With a shorthaired cat?)

I can pet my neighbour’s cat for a short time and stay in their house but I would have to wash my hands immediately after petting the cat.

I don’t have a lot of extra cash, but would like to find a good air purifier for my son who has terrible allergy problems.
