When you are considering buying an air purifier, there are several different features that you need to look for. These features include, its ability to keep the air clean, how many and what type of particles it removes from the air and finally, whether or not it is designed to help people with allergies.
Air purifiers such as the Ionic Breeze are often touted as being able to do all the work of a normal air purifier and more. However, the Ionic Breeze has nothing on the IQAir HealthPro Plus. The IQAir HealthPro Plus is the most advance air purifier on the market. It has four different filters that catch over 90% of the nasty particulates that can cause allergies. This model is also great for people who are suffering from Asthma, as it catches the molecular irritants that bother so many asthmatics.

Astelin (azelastine) is a unique drug with a chemical structure unlike any other allergy or asthma medication. Astelin is approved for both seasonal and yearly (chronic) allergic rhinitis and is available only by prescription. Allergic rhinitis is the most common type of allergy and is also known as “hay fever”. Basically, an inflammation of mucous membranes that occurs when allergens touch the lining of your nose. Symptoms of allergic rhinitis are characterized by sneezing, congestion, itching and dripping of the nose, and itchy, watery eyes.
Astelin nasal spray is used to alleviate the symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis. These symptoms are often associated with a number of environmental allergies such as pollen, dust, animal dander, and mold. Astelin works quickly, can be used as needed, is steroid-free, and does not contain pseudoephedrine.

My dog has a severe allergy to flea bites. The Vet has suggested different allergy medications to control the itching (benadryl, etc.), we tried a few topical sprays that were recommended by the Vet. Nothing works. The Vet has given her a couple of steriod injections and said it would give her some relief. It didn’t and I don’t want her to have any more steroids. The Vet doesn’t have any more suggestions other than putting her on harsh medications. Frontline only kills the fleas after they bite. It’s my poor dog that concerns me. She is scratching herself raw. Does anyone have any remedies that have worked? I’ve done vinegar rinses, tea tree oil rubs, anti-itch shampoos, the allergy pills, the topical sprays and nothing helps. Also, I was wondering if anyone had a good flea repellent that is safe to put on my dog.
We have tented the house and sprayed the yard for fleas. We live in a rural area and it’s impossible to get rid of all the fleas. I tried Frontline, Advantage and Revolution. The problem is a flea bite allergy and not food allergy.

or are you quick to reach for OTC (over the counter) relief? This question posed to non-U.S. residents. I’m curious to see what folks use in other countries that are not bombarded by the pharmacuetical companies tv ads!

I would really appreciate some advice. I have severe allergies to pollens, grasses, molds, dust, mites…you name it, I scored max on allergy testing. I take singulair, which has helped with my allergy induced asthma .(no longer have to use frequent inhaler and stopped coughing incessantly). I’m also on loritadine (over the counter Claritin), and Flonase nasal spray. This spring is really hitting me hard. My nose itches like crazy and even my eyes tear!!! I try to stay in airconditioned places, but I’ve run out of remedies to try!
What haven’t I tried that might help?

i’m hoping to find home or over-the-counter remedies as we’ve just spent $150 to find out he’s got an allergy, but have yet to figureout WHAT he’s allergic to! thanks, in advance.
oh, and we’re giving him benadryl, but he’s still miserable & scratching almost non-stop. he developed a staph infection from an open wound (caused by scratching himself)

So I had a sore throat for the past two weeks cause it’s been warm and dry, and then all of a sudden…BAM! Warmest day yet this season and my allergies are in full bloom. As are the pollens that are causing them! My symptoms are the norm, Runny nose, sore throat, ears feel plugged, sinuses in general feel plugged and stuffy, and I have an atrocious headache…So I was just wondering what works best for these allergy symptoms that is also non-drowsy out of personal experience? Thanks everyone!
